"The Old American Can Factory is new place in an old space, a place where things are still being made. Built as an industrial canning complex in 1886-1901 on the Fifth Street Basin of the Gowanus Canal in Brooklyn, today it is a haven to a vital community of more than 200 people working in the creative industries who conceive, manufacture and distribute a myriad of ideas, experiences and products that aim to enhance the lives of others."
