Salon #41: Intellectual Property and the Theater

image_uploaded_from_ios.jpg

Good artists copy, great artists steal (and sometimes go to court.)

Join Wingspace and XO Projects for a discussion of intellectual property and the theater. As theater artists we often find ourselves re-examining or re-inventing the work of other artists. How do we navigate the complex world of intellectual property law, as we strive to create work that is both resonant and original? Guests include Peter Nigrini (projection designer), David Friedlander (IP lawyer), Martha Steketee (Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of the Americas), Cecilia Friederichs (United Scenic Artists) and Jill BC Du Boff (sound designer).
