PROGRAM OVERVIEW

INDIVIDUAL ATTENTION

Each mentee is provided with two direct mentors who are established professionals in their field. Having two mentors helps to ensure that guidance is accessible at all times and also provides two different viewpoints on any questions that arise.

CAREER GUIDANCE

Monthly meetings will cover topics often neglected by academic institutions such as negotiating fees, formulating contracts and maintaining a balanced lifestyle. Every mentee will have an opportunity to present their portfolio during these meetings and receive constructive feedback on how to best present who they are as artists.

PROFESSIONAL CONNECTIONS

With a membership of over forty working artists, Wingspace is deeply connected with performing arts community in New York and beyond. We can provide professional introductions, networking assistance and opportunities to observe professional artists in rehearsal.

COMMUNITY

We envision each mentorship class as a team that allows for horizontal learning and community-building, creating relationships that continue to nurture participants long after the program is over.
